Model boats don't grow on trees, but some of their builders belong in them. Many a modeler has been driven up a tree or over the edge looking for ideas, hulls, drive systems, control devices, batteries, etc.
We can help with the ideas, but the rest can be had from the groups listed below, these are unsolicited and unpaid endorsements / recommendations exceptto say that we've had good responses and good old-fashioned service from all of them.

• The Modelers Boatyard is a great resource for kits, fittings etc.
  
  
• Taubman Plans Service is the ultimate collection of plans for the modeller. 64 sets of tugboat or towboats were available at one time.
